Starbucks Receives a Wake-Up Call

Speaking of workweeks, New York City, where Starbucks has around 300 installations and 15,000 employees, has hit the company for a half-million violations of its Fair Workweek laws. The company has settled with an agreement to pay $35.5 million to over 15,000 affected employees plus $3-4 million in penalties to the city.
