SHRM in the Crosshairs
SHRM has two lawsuits pending against it: (1) an applicant’s job offer was rescinded when she asked that she be permitted to bring her service dog to work (needed to detect low glucose levels because she is diabetic), and (2) a verdict against it of $11.5 million for alleged racial bias and retaliation. The first is in progress, and the second will be appealed; but overall, it is not a good look for the organization.
