Massachusetts Has Instituted a New Salary Transparency Law

Employers with at least 25 employees in their “primary place of work” in Massachusetts were required to include pay ranges in job postings, starting at the end of October. The 25-employee count includes all employees, whether full- or part-time, regular, temporary or seasonal. Employers with 100 or more employees who are required to file an EEO-1 report must also submit a copy to the Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth.
