Drug Overdoses on the Job Are a Nationwide Problem

Nationwide drug overdoses numbered over 84,000 in 2024, with over 90% occurring in victims of working age. Employers have a tool with which to combat this scourge: NARCAN Nasal Spray (naloxone) is effective against opioid overdoses, and is available over the counter. Employers are advised to make NARCAN available in first-aid kits in their facility – just in case – and teach people how to use it.
