New State Regulations

Illinois has passed a new one called the “Family Neonatal Intensive Care Leave Act,” which provides that employers with 16-50 employees must provide 10 days of leave, and employers with more than 50 employees must provide 20 days of leave for employees who have a child in the neonatal intensive care unit.

California has passed the “Transparency in Frontier Artificial Intelligence Act,” which establishes requirements for large AI developers working on so-called “frontier models,” an exotic definition dependent upon the computing power and function of the AI model.
