Interesting Data on Training Results

The Association for Talent Development conducted a study of 445 Training & Development professionals and 471 learners, in which they compared human-led with automated training with the following results:

  • 32% of digital learning in the US is personalized; the remainder is automated.

  • 94% of learners surveyed stated they value personalization in training

  • 64% of that same group said personalization to their needs is “extremely important”

  • 84% of respondents said they pay better attention to human-led versus automated training

  • 49% of respondents said they preferred live instruction

  • 56% of respondents said live instruction is the most effective

The most productive/efficient trend will likely be a combination of human- and AI-led training, but “thoughtful design, learner readiness and equitable access t technology” will be the keys to effectiveness,” according to the study.
