Application Fatigue?
Nearly 6 in 10 candidates have quit an application before finishing because they deemed it to be overly long or complicated. On the other side of the coin, more than a third of U.S. job seekers said not hearing back from employers was their top job search frustration. Beyond that, over 40 percent of job seekers said they doubt that their application even made it to a real person.
On top of that, half of workers surveyed said they got a job through a connection, saying that relationships for a job were considered more helpful than using job boards, social media, recruiters and staffing firms, a report found.
