Tik Tok Fined in Europe

Tik Tok has been fined €530 million euros by the Irish Data Protection Commissioner (DPC) for illegal transfers to China of personal data of users and breaches of transparency requirements. If those problems are not resolved within six months, all data transfers to China will be prohibited. The Irish DPC is the primary supervisory authority for Tik Tok in the European Union.
