States with Pay Transparency Laws

The following states have amended their pay transparency legislation:

  • California: Tightened definition of pay range – plus another dozen new regulations

  • Delaware and Massachusetts: Expanded to employers with 25 or more employees

  • New Jersey: Posting to include pay and general benefits description

  • Vermont: Now includes remote workers

  • Washington: Amended to give employers a 5-day grace period to fix erroneous or non-compliant postings.
