H1-B Cap Reached for 2027

In conjunction with the foregoing, USCIS announced it has already reached its H1-B cap for fiscal 2027, including the advanced degree exemption. The cap for “regular” H1-B visas is 65,000, and the additional quota for applicants with a US-earned degree of Master’s or higher is 20,000. The State Department has said it will conduct an “online presence” review of H1-B visa applicants and their dependents, including social media posts, as part of their overall eligibility determination.
