Guess Who’s Coming to … Work?
Parents are joining Generation Z applicants in the job interview process, a report from Zety suggests. About 1 in 5 Gen Z respondents told the organization that a parent has reached out to a potential employer or recruiter on their behalf; further, 44% said their parents helped them craft a resume or curriculum vitae.
Beyond that, a few Gen Zers even had their parents join them in interviews: 5% had parents sit in virtually, and 15% arrived at in-person interviews.
Some parents even negotiated compensation and benefits on behalf of their offspring.
