Employee Relations 101 Redux
It is easy to get lost in the weeds of everyday business, but it is important for employers not to lose sight of their most important asset: their people. Employers should keep the following in mind at all times when dealing with their employees:
Increase HR or management/supervisory visibility
Promptly address complaints
Ensure consistent enforcement of policies
Foster a sense of community
Select managers with good communication skills and emotional intelligence
Keep applicable labor laws in mind at all times, and ask for help if needed.
