Deepfake Candidates?!

With the advent of remote hiring has also come the “art” of deepfake candidates, who use stolen identities and AI to create false candidates. A tech startup almost hired two of these “candidates,” including one that passed several interviews – and was only caught when he refused to cover his face. Such instances are on the rise, particularly targeting tech startups. One effective technique to counteract this is asking candidates to cover their face, turn side-to-side, or stand up; these actions can disrupt deepfake video filters.
